Rojos – Co. Miquel Barcelona

Artistic practice as a tool for social transformation.

The representation of Rojos starts from a search for witnesses from the post-war period of the Spanish Civil War and the recovery of the cultural and artistic legacy of that period in the form of a stage piece. The show wants to highlight the memory of dramatic events for a generation, the underground life during the repression that took place after the war through artistic figures, creative women and the homosexual movement, and link the present with the post-war period.

The Miquel Barcelona dance company understands artistic practice as a tool for social transformation with 5 axes of interest: territory, memory, sustainability, education and audience generation.
