Parné – Glòria Ribera

Parné is a show of creation and innovation of varieties, couplets and magazine.

The coupletists were media modernist figures who were overwhelmed by the post-war period and fascism. The aim is to spread their words and also their forms, totally uncomplicated, brave and politically committed. To review the avant-garde of Dadaism represented by the coupletists in order to maintain the scandal that the discourse of art history has failed to convey: gender and politics, and counter-gender and censorship as the second side of the coin. From a post-futuristic perspective, the apparently dysfunctional humor of the 20th century is re-stimulated in order to recompose it. We want to show the viewers what they want to see and also what they don’t.
