“Endimoniades” – Pilar Albarracín

Curator: Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta

The permanent vindication of a collective history: that of women.

Her productions have focused on the analysis of dominant narratives and specifically on the clichés that represent the Andalusian identity, through an emotional and subversive immersion in the anthropology of everyday life. Popular traditions, folklore, food rituals, religion, myths, and women’s roles in the distribution of power are some of her common themes. The Andalusian artist uses transgression and humor as both plastic and political tools.

On the occasion of his participation in this year’s edition of the Cool Days Festival, she will offer us an unprecedented, participative, exciting and vindictive performance.
